Our first cat was a Norwegian Forest Cat. His name was S*Katt Aila’s Zazu, and he was born at the end of 1997. It was our middle son, Martin, who wanted a cat. However, it’s the cat who decides who to bond with, and it turned out to be our daughter. This led to a strong relationship, giving us many pleasant and fascinating memories. The whole family became captivated by having a cat.
Kerstin had extensive experience with cats in the family since childhood, but for the rest of us, it was new and exciting to have a four-legged family member.
A lifelong interest and a new lifestyle were born. Zazu was the beginning, and without him, Just Catnap’s wouldn’t exist. We are forever grateful to him. Martin got a new cat, a female from Värmland named S*Nordsjöhedens Alicia, and she truly became his.
Our shared interest in cats led to our first cat shows during 1998 and to registering a cattery name during the spring of 1999.
